DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT MODULE​

​​DM module aims to provide students with an overview of ways in which cultural, ethnic and national diversities are managed in the European Union. It improves students’ understanding of prejudices and discrimination as it explores the various types of diversity such as racial, cultural, religious, sexual, gender, and so on. The module provides students with a comprehensive explanation of antidiscrimination theories and practices that are imperative for the professional competencies in all areas of life, especially the workplace.
WHY DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT
By delivering the DM module to the targeted students, the following intended learning outcomes will be met. These are:

Understand the different dimensions of diversity as well as to challenge the common stereotypes around them, through an intercultural approach.

Identify personal and social barriers to success and how they are related to diversity.

Understand the regulatory framework of diversity and equal opportunity in Europe.

Understand the contribution of ‘equal opportunity’ and ‘managing diversity’ approaches to achieving organizational goals.

Understand the business case of diversity management with EU examples.

General public is better aware about diversity sensitivities.
